Dr. Rev. Jessica Moerman, President & CEO
Dr. Rev. Jessica Moerman is a climate and environmental scientist, pastor, educator, and advocate. She serves as the President and CEO of the Evangelical Environmental Network and is a Board Member of the National Association of Evangelicals. Jessica received her Ph.D. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has held research positions at John Hopkins University, University of Michigan, and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, where she researched how climate has changed throughout Earth’s history. Prior to joining EEN, Jessica was a AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Jessica regularly speaks on issues related to climate change, pollution, children’s health, the clean energy transition, environmental stewardship, and the intersection of science and faith. She has appeared on the NBC TODAY Show, Good Morning America, Christian Broadcasting Network, Newsmax, nationally syndicated Christian and secular radio talk shows, and has been featured in Christianity Today, CNN, the Washington Post, and other national news outlets. In 2021, Jessica was named a Yale Public Voices for the Climate Crisis Fellow.
Jessica is a co-founding Pastor at her church, which she planted in 2016 with her husband Chris in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. Jessica is passionate about leading church communities towards positive solutions to safeguard our cities, neighborhoods, and the next generation from the effects of a warming world and life-threatening pollution.

Tori Goebel, Chief Operating Officer
Tori serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Evangelical Environmental Network. She holds an undergraduate degree in communications and political science from Gordon College (B.A. '16) and a masters of environmental law and policy from Vermont Law School (M.E.L.P. '19).
Tori has worked with EEN since 2017, starting as the Director of Communications for EEN and its ministry partner Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA). She then served as YECA's National Organizer and Spokesperson until 2024.
Tori was born, raised, and currently lives in New England.

Lauren Kim, National Organizer & Spokesperson, YECA
Lauren serves as the National Organizer and Spokesperson for EEN's youth partner ministry, Young Evangelicals for Climate Action. She is a graduate from the University of Virginia with a degree in Global Security/Justice.
Lauren has been involved with YECA since 2019 serving as a project manager, college fellow, and steering committee member. Her passion for Creation Care stems from her appreciation of nature and time spent working on farms.
Lauren is passionate about clean water, natural preservation, and animals (especially horses and cows after living in Texas!). She believes deeply in the mission of environmental stewardship as a practice of obedience, kindness, and radical love toward Jesus and His creation. [Micah 6:8]

Kim Anderson, Director of Member Mobilization
Kim Anderson serves as EEN's Director of Member Mobilization. She holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marietta College and a Master’s in Business Administration from The University of Akron. Kim spent nearly 20 years in banking, including working in Human Resources for one of the nation’s largest banks. Since before becoming a Christian, Kim has had a passion for the environment and her faith has only strengthened her conviction in creation care.
A northeastern Ohio native, Kim now lives in the mountains of western Pennsylvania with her husband and two busy and creative children.

Rev. Dr. Jeremy Summers, Director of Church & Community Engagement
Rev. Dr. Jeremy Summers is passionate about teaching, training, and mobilization and has been with EEN for over ten years. His current role is EEN's Director of Church and Community Engagement, though he has also served as Chair of EEN's Board of Directors and EEN's Indiana Outreach Coordinator. Jeremy is the Director of Mission-Driven Leadership Programs and Affiliate Faculty at Indiana Wesleyan University and also is the Director of Training Formation of Mobilize The Church. Prior to these roles, Jeremy served as the Director of Spiritual Formation and Community Based Ministries for The Wesleyan Denomination and pastored at four churches. Jeremy is married to Andrea, and they have been blessed with four children (Macy, Ava, Micah, and Ty).

Carolyn Heckman, Associate Director of Pennsylvania Policy
Carolyn Heckman is the Associate Director of Pennsylvania Policy at the Evangelical Environmental Network. Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science in Energy and Sustainability Policy and Geography minor from the Pennsylvania State University. She received a 2022 EME Student Merit Award from Penn State, which are presented to individuals who have been chosen by their program faculty members as their most talented and dedicated students based on their academic performance, industry engagement, or leadership qualities. Carolyn interned for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and ICLEI as part of their localized climate action plan, LCAP, program, drafting a climate action plan for Millersville Borough, PA. Carolyn has previously worked in conservation for the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited as their Community Engagement Coordinator. While originally from Northeast Philadelphia, Carolyn now resides in central Pennsylvania with her son and daughter.

Lindsay Garcia, Director of Communications
Lindsay Garcia is the Director of Communications at the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) and Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA).
She received her B.A. in English and Creative Writing from Gordon College in 2018 and has since done marketing and communications for a Colorado-based nonprofit. She also developed a passion for education and creation care while working as an interpretation ranger and adventure guide in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Lindsay was raised in Greeley, Colorado and currently lives in Denver.

Jaime Butler, Communications Associate
Jaime Butler is the Communications Associate at the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) and Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (YECA).
She served as EEN's Communications Intern during the Spring of 2023 and received B.A.'s in Strategic Communication, Literature, and Spanish from Calvin University in April 2023. Her love for creation care stems from summers spent at Sunrise Lake in Northern Wisconsin. Her work with EEN as an intern, as well as the creation care work of her professors at Calvin have fostered this passion in recent years.
Jaime was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Rev. Tim Olsen, Upper Midwest Coordinator
Rev. Tim Olsen grew up on a farm in SW Minnesota. Graduating from the University of Minnesota with an Agriculture Education degree he worked for several years as a County Extension Agent for the University of Minnesota and Cornell University (NY). Responding to the call to ministry Tim attended the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. Ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) he served rural congregations in Iowa for 14 years. Moving back to Minnesota to be closer to aging parents he led a new church start with the RCA before accepting a position for a special project with Sioux Falls Seminary. The special project inspired Tim to launch a nonprofit that provided curriculum and technical support for constructing teaching gardens on the campuses of Title 1 elementary schools to enhance STEM education. When Tim retired from the nonprofit there were three program areas, including SD Agriculture in the Classroom, being accessed by 141 South Dakota school districts, reaching nearly 18,000 students. Tim is a U of M Extension Master Gardener, beekeeper and beekeeper educator, and continues to judge 4-H exhibits at numerous County & State Fairs. Tim is married to his high school sweetheart, the proud father of three children, and spoils his 6 grandchildren. Tim holds the distinction of raising sheep in three states.

Rev. Dean Van Farowe, Ohio Outreach Coordinator
The Rev. Dean Van Farowe is the Ohio Outreach Coordinator for EEN. He grew up in farm country as a pastor's kid in North Dakota and Michigan, and graduated from Northwestern College (IA) and Western Theological Seminary (MI). Dean has been the pastor of Calvary Reformed Church (RCA), a multi-ethnic urban church in Cleveland, Ohio, since the year 2000.
Dean began Calvary Reformed's Creation Care ministry in 2019. Some of their activities include monthly Litter Pilgrimages, seasonal tree & native flower plantings, and an annual "Creation Care Kids" vbs. They have hosted two EEN Partner events in Cleveland. Dean is the co-leader of the multi-denominational West Side Creation Care Team in Cleveland, and he has a certificate in environmental ministry from McCormick Seminary (IL).
Dean and his wife Christine have been married for 21 years and have three children: a daughter who is in high school and twin sons in college. Dean enjoys playing guitar and hiking on the Buckeye Trail in Ohio.

Rev. Mitchell C. Hescox, President Emeritus
The Rev. Mitchell C. Hescox is the President Emeritus of the Evangelical Environmental Network and served as EEN's President and CEO for fifteen years.
Rev. Hescox co-authored Caring for Creation: The Evangelical Guide To Climate Change and a Healthy Environment (Bethany House) with nationally known meteorologist Paul Douglas and contributed to Sacred Acts: How Churches are working together to Protect Earth’s Climate (New Society Publishers) and Health of People, Health of Planet, Our Responsibility (Springer Publishing). He has testified before Congress, spoken at the White House, and presented at the Vatican and The Council for Foreign Relations. Rev. Hescox has appeared on CNN, NPR, PRI, MSNBC, BBC, and numerous radio programs, both Christian and secular.
Rev. Hescox has served as a member of the National Association of Evangelicals’s Board of Directors, the EPA’s Clean Air Act Advisory Committee, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Citizen Advisory Council, and the Board of Reference for the Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions. He also leads a small group at his local Pennsylvania church.
Prior to joining EEN, Mitch pastored a local church for eighteen years, and before the call to ordained ministry, served in the coal and utility industry as Director, Fuel Systems for Allis Mineral Systems (York, PA). He is married to Clare with four grown children and seven grandchildren.
