EEN Applauds President Biden’s Executive Order Prioritizing Federal Sustainability

In this critical decade where every action matters, EEN applauds the Biden Administration’s executive order directing the federal government to lead by example by protecting God’s creation and securing a safe climate and healthy environment for our children and all Americans. By charging the federal government to cut its own carbon emissions 65 percent by the end of 2030 and reach net-zero emissions by 2050, we are a critical step closer to achieving our national emissions goals. These goals are crucial to averting dangerous climate change and making our air and water pure from life-threatening pollutants. This action not only represents wise stewardship of our national resources but will also make it easier for everyday Americans and small businesses to be better stewards of their own resources by making clean electricity, cars, and products more accessible and affordable.

“Implementing these plans will be tough, especially the EV infrastructure,” stated the Rev. Mitch Hescox, EEN’s President. “However, EEN looks forward to aiding and pushing the Biden Administration to complete these national goals. Every child in the United States will breathe cleaner air thanks to this ambitious plan, face a lower climate threat, and our country will continue to generate good jobs with family-sustaining incomes.”
