In the U.S., an estimated 30%-40% of food is thrown out. Instead of sending that food to a landfill, God has given us a wonderful way of turning our waste into useful soil, enriching our gardens and the earth! Composting is an act of discipleship.
At this workshop, participants will learn the "Why and How of Composting" from Nathan Rutz of Rust Belt Riders, a Cleveland composting company; visit two nearby community gardens; and receive a compost bucket and a backyard compost bin to get started in their own homes.
