The Why
The creation narrative found in Genesis 1 and 2 establishes several truths that are echoed throughout scripture: 1) God has declared creation “good” and cares about its wellbeing, 2) humanity is closely connected to the rest of creation and, 3) humans have also been tasked with serving and protecting that creation. What is more, the state of creation is often tied to our own flourishing or suffering, from economic outcomes to the state of our health. At EEN, we are dedicated to defending God’s majestic creation out of obedience and concern for all who call it home.
