News & Notes

As we begin the COVID-19 recovery, our health, our future, and our economy cannot afford the failures of the past. Instead, we must move forward together toward a brighter, cleaner, and healthy future. Together we can build a vibrant and healthy Pennsylvania for all.

Addressing the climate crisis is crucial to safeguard our families’ health and children’s future. Without bold action, more and more communities across the United States will continue to be hit with more intense extreme weather, farther-reaching wildfires, and hotter and longer-lasting heat waves. The consequences of these devastating events have a long-lasting impact on lives, livelihoods, and local economies.

By simply protecting God’s creation, we can get up to 37% of the way needed to avoid dangerous levels of global warming. Conserving and restoring blue carbon ecosystems, such as wetlands, estuaries, and tidal marshes, is particularly critical for keeping communities resilient in the face of extreme weather and ensuring a healthy, safe, and stable future for our children.
